The Kelvin Jokers managed an impressive 2nd place in this years 9th league. It was an excellent season with only 3 losses, two of which were to the league winners, VOB, and the last one was to a strong UCT side which was only by 2 points. Thanks go to Conrad for captaining the side and for putting in a lot of effort into booking courts, sending out reminders and ensuring we were all well fed. Thanks go to Nic for all the game time he put in both in practice and in league, even showing up for his game one week with a broken thumb. Thanks go to all the no. 4's we had during the season - Jim, Ken, Jonathan, Al, JJ and um, the last guy who's name I can't remember :]
We finished off last night with 4 wins against Milnerton. Looking ahead now to the Kelvin Club Champs in October. Here's a nasty pic from my phone :>
