Year End Function

We had our company year end function at the convention centre this Saturday. They organised an 'all-expenses paid' masked ball. All in all I had a great time, and I think most people did. They laid on a buffet meal, where there was a little of everything. Nothing terrible expensive, but it was decent food and there was a lot of it. The entertainment was a little strange, but I'm not a big fan of the whole drag queen thing anyway, so maybe I was a little prejudiced. I thought our table was entertaining enough anyway :]

I'm still collecting some pics of the event. I know the attman has one of the villaboys. Whether its worthy of a post on the blog we'll have to see. Here's my fav one of the bunch off my cam.

Apparently some stuff was stolen at the event, which is a little concerning. I've heard a of a cellphone being taken out of a purse, and a shawl off a table. Hopefully these turn up sometime this week.

Westpoint

So one of my friends has done very badly for himself and has bought a place in Westpoint on Greyston Drive in Sandton. This monstrosity is about 12 floors high, dwarfs all the surrounding financial buildings and has a pretty average living area tucked behind all the flats. He's picked a flat up on the 11th floor amongst the lofts which is right about level with the cloud line. Here's the view off the back balcony.

Apparently there's been a party or two in the shoddy living area downstairs. Really, not sure who would want to hang out here...
